Declaration:

By registering you agree that the applicant will become a Junior Member of the Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc .and  participate in Junior Tennis Match Play and associated activities with the Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc.

​

This declaration releases the Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc., its volunteers, officers, coaches, players, or members from any responsibility for any injury or loss, claim or liability whilst the player is involved directly or indirectly in Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc. activities.

Code of Conduct:

I undertake that the applicant will up hold the Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc. values. I understand that Scone Hardcourt Tennis Assoc. has a Zero tolerance to Bullying.

Tennis Australia’s aspiration is that the whole sport of tennis in Australia, at all levels and at all environments, is recognised for a reputation of unwavering commitment to integrity. Every aspect of tennis should be safe, welcoming and inclusive for all stakeholders. Tennis should also achieve fair and honest sporting performances and outcomes so that the public has confidence in the results.

The National Policies listed below outline the rules and standards of behaviour expected of the tennis community in order to support this vision. The role of the Tennis Australia Integrity and Compliance Unit is to manage and administer the National Policies.

Tips for Players

Players can help promote positive sporting environments by: 

 

Being a good sport

  • Play with respect, integrity and fairness

  • Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat

  • If you win, don’t rub it in

  • If you lose, don’t make excuses

  • Control your temper

  • Don’t use bad language or make derogatory remarks.

 

Respect your opponent

  • Treat your opponent the way you would like to be treated

  • Thank the opposition at the end of the game

 

Respect officials

  • Accept and respect the official’s decision

  • Thank the official at the end of the game

  • If you have an issue, raise it in a professional way with your coach or captain after the game.

Tips for Parents

Parents can help promote positive sporting environments by: 

 

  • Help kids enjoy sport

  • Emphasise trying hard and having fun, not only winning

  • Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake.

  • Encourage fair play

  • Cheer and acknowledge good plays by both teams

  • Thank the official, coach and other team after the game.

  • Respect officials, coaches and opponents

  • Deal with issues in a controlled and professional manner after the game.

  • Keep your emotions in check

  • Be enthusiastic, but don’t scream instructions from the sideline

  • Don’t get into shouting matches with anyone

  • Never use bad language or harass others.

  • Uphold your club’s code of conduct

  • Understand, uphold and support your club’s code of conduct for parents.

  • If you have put your hand up to be an official in junior sport it's important to understand all your club's rules and regulations, the spirit of the game and the relevant codes of conduct.
